"The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny" by Kiran Desai
“Cut. If not, shorten.” Anita Desai wrote these words in the margins of an early draft of her daughter Kiran Desai’s latest book, The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny (Hogarth, Sept 2025.)
